Why Lyle?
A house needs small jobs a few times a year and a big one every ten or twenty years. A furnace lasts 15 to 25 years and an asphalt roof 20 to 30, by InterNACHI's chart. Harvard's Joint Center for Housing Studies expects homeowners in the United States to spend about $518 billion on improvements and repairs in 2026.
The rare, big job
You'll replace the furnace once or twice in your life, and the company quoting it does it every week. Lyle knows your furnace's make, age and service history, so when the time comes you have what you need for a good quote, including what the quotes should cover and what to ask. We take no commissions and no referral fees from anyone we mention.
When something goes wrong
After a fire or a flood, the Insurance Information Institute says the claim settles faster the more you know about what you lost. Lyle keeps the list, with photos and receipts, away from the house. Then it helps with what comes next.
Every ordinary year
The Consumer Product Safety Commission wants every fuel-burning appliance inspected yearly. The U.S. Fire Administration wants smoke alarms tested monthly and replaced every ten years. The filter has a size and the water heater has a flush date. Lyle reminds you about each one and keeps the history of what was done.
When you sell
The history goes with the house. A buyer sees a furnace serviced every fall and a roof replaced by a named company on a known date.
What you can count on
We work only for you. We don't sell your information or use it for advertising, and the software we build and use isn't trained on it. When Lyle isn't sure, a person on our team checks before you hear back. Nothing about your house is saved until you say so, and you can edit or delete anything.
