Texting Lyle

Lyle members can talk to Lyle by text message. Texting is off until a member turns it on. The messages come from Lyle, a home service run by Hayseed Capital, LLC.
What we text about
We only text you in reply to your own messages or about your own house's record. For example:
- A reply to a question you texted, like when the furnace was last serviced.
- A proposed update to your house's record, waiting for you to reply YES before it's saved.
- A confirmation that something was saved, or a reminder about your house that you asked for.
- A one-time code to connect your phone number to your account.
We don't send advertising or promotional texts, and we don't text anyone who hasn't turned texting on. Message frequency varies with how much you write to Lyle.
How to turn texting on
Texting is for members who have a Lyle account. To turn it on:
- Sign in to Lyle and open Account, then Texting.
- Enter your mobile number and tick the box shown below. It's unticked until you tick it.
- Lyle texts you a six-digit code. Enter it in the app to confirm the number is yours.

In the app, "Terms" and "Privacy Policy" link to meetlyle.com/terms and meetlyle.com/privacy.
Turning on texts is never a condition of membership or of buying anything. You can use Lyle in the app without it.
If someone texts Lyle's number before connecting it to an account, we send one reply explaining how to connect it in the app, and nothing else.
Costs
We don't charge for texts. Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
Stopping texts and getting help
Reply with one of these words at any time:

You can also turn texting off in Account, or email hello@meetlyle.com and we'll turn it off for you.
Your number stays private
We don't sell, rent or share your mobile number with anyone for their marketing. Text message opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties. We share your number only with the company that delivers our texts (Twilio), and only so it can deliver them. The details are in our Privacy Policy.
The fine print
Carriers aren't liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Texting is available on major US carriers. The full texting terms are in our Terms of Service.
